Current Work

Wendy Law Art is currently hosted by the Art School, Birmingham City University, to work with the Turning Point network of artists, collectives, galleries, museums, universities, festivals, businesses and agencies across the West Midlands to develop a Visual Arts Strategy and Action Plan with the TPWM Management Group http://www.tpwestmidlands.org.uk

Wendy is also specialist Visual Arts Advisor for Cultural Enterprise Office Scotland's specialist business support and development service for creative business and practitioners.

 

Wendy is a Board Member of Berwick Upon Tweed Film and Media Arts Festival http://www.berwickfilm-artsfest.com/

Background

Wendy joined the Scottish Arts Council from London in 1995 as Collections Development Officer, looking after its Art Collection, before setting up the National Collecting Scheme Scotland, and the Own Art Scheme in Scotland, Arts Council England's interest free credit facility scheme to purchase art http://www.ownart.org.uk/

In London Wendy worked in galleries in London specialising in modern and British Art  and for the Museums & Galleries Commission (MLA)*.  She studied Art History at University College London, and is a postgraduate in Museum Studies, Manchester University.
